Miguel Peña

Miguel Peña

Miguel Peña was born in Madrid in 1951.

In 1968 he begins his studies at Madrid’s university of architecture. He will stay there until 1971, when he will see drawing as his real vocation. This leads Miguel Peña to join the School of Fine Arts in Madrid to focus solely on painting.

After his studies, painter Miguel Peña obtains several grants such as the Juan March Foundation  in 1967 or the Ministry of Culture in 1981.

After exhibiting in Paris, London or Madrid, in 1990 Miguel Peña joins the group of painters at Sala Dalmau art gallery in Barcelona.
